biography Awards includes University of the Arts London- Artist Exchange and Collectors Bursary (2006), The Juliet Gomperts Trust- Project Grant (2006), The Oppenheim- John Downes Memorial Trust Award (2005), The Arts Council of England- Grant for Individuals (2003/ 2002), The Princes Trust- Arts & Business Grant (2001) and Northern Arts- Materials & Equipment Grant (2000). Selected work experience includes Gallery assistant at Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art, Gateshead (July 2002- June 2005), Nathan Coley's Show Home - a temporary art project with Locus+ (May 2003), Exhibition installation at Northern Gallery for Contemporary Art, Sunderland (2001- 03), WPC, Guernsey (1991-93), Picture framer (1990-91). Selected Voluntary work includes co-founder and management committee of ASSIGN (Arts Sunderland Support Initiative and Group Network) (2001- 03), and Pride Art committee, Newcastle -Upon- Tyne- promoting the artwork of LGBT artists (2001- 02).
